Our Story

The 24 hour around the world tour started at one of our feeder schools, Briarhill Middle School.  They had been conducting random mystery sessions but were never able to speak with anyone from Asia because of the time difference.  So they created the 24 hour around the world tour.  Over the past couple of years the tour progressed from one school to five schools participating this year.

Our M9 AP Humanities is a combined class of Pre-AP English I and AP Human Geography.  Students study the world thematically with topics such as Population and Migration, Political Geography, Urban Geography, Agricultural and Industrial Geography as well as Development.  As we study the world at local, national, and global scales we discover more and more that for everything we learn we have  more questions.  To help us better understand our world and its variety of cultures, we decided to participate this year in the 24 hour around the world tour.  As we connect with 16 different countries around the globe we are hoping to get answers to some of our questions and make new friends that will make us better global citizens.

We hope you can follow along with our journey.  Follow our blog, our Twitter and Instagram hashtag of #m9rocksworldtour.
